Gaye says the
God will always send people across your path, people who are
saying "Come on up!". But we are afraid... afraid of
what others will say, do, or think. And then we stifle that urge
to lift off.
Trust the skies,
trust your wings. Trust God and reach higher.

every day..."

Did you ever
go to the beach? And notice how quickly you can drift down? Before
you realize it, you are way farther than you wanted to be or
than you thought you could get!
You say, "How
did we drift so far?"
And the same
is true of our lives here. It is so important that we re-evaluate
where we are! We have been told of the godly beginnings of the
great universities such as Yale, Harvard, and Princeton. All
of these had godly founders and godly statutes. Of course, this
is also true of our country's beginnings. Look at where we are
today. Have we drifted? It's time to evalute our lives... our
homes... our churches. It is not a limbo dance, seeing
how 'low' can we go. Our standards today are dangerously low...
we don't want to offend anybody, we don't want anyone to feel
uncomfortable - we are no longer shocked at sin. How much sin
is is okay? Well Gaye told about a little girl who was going
around <licking salt shakers> at a restaurant. Do you want
to salt your food now? It was only a "little bit" of
spit. How much spit does it take to contaminate? How do you think
God feels about having a "little bit" of sin in your
life?
We over-analyze
sin. Jesus has called us to come out of sin. There is no sin
in temptation, but the moment you act on that temptation, it
is a sin, and you are deceived. One day, you and
I will be accountable for everything that we have done. God will
call sin <sin>. The scriptures say that sin is pleasure
for a season... but remember this, the enemy wants you. He will
set you up and deceive you at every opportunity. Be strong in
the Lord.
We have a large
amount of free time on Saturday afternoons. This time can be
spent hiking, reading, napping... anything that you wish to do.
These ladies spent 45 minutes stretching to praise music, strengthens
the body while lifting the soul.
